Chief the GSD was rescued from the dog market with Saffi. He was suffering from blood parasites, anaemic, and severely malnourished.
While staying with the vet, he bonded with Saffi, and he provided her with great comfort as she was terrified of humans. Chief was also found to have a protruding disc, which would have left him in agony until he received pain relief. Chief was a gentle giant, so placid and kind.
Sadly, the impact of long-term neglect was too much for his frail body to take, and he passed on 15 November 2024.
