Tommy was found on the streets with not much life left in him. There was a rope wrapped so tightly around his neck it had embedded into his skin. A passerby untied the rope, but Tommy was left with a horrific wound. He had not moved from this spot for a few days.
Over a long period of time the rope had cut off blood supply to the salivary glands. This caused nose bleeds and difficulty breathing. If Tommy had been left any longer, he would have suffocated.
Although Tommy is recovering, his face will always remain slightly swollen. He still requires medical boarding to ensure his neck stays clean and avoid further infections.
