Pepsi

Around 2-4 years old
No to cats
Could live with another dog the same size
No to young children due to being very bouncy

Pepsi was rescued from a black market, emaciated and slowly passing away. He was owned by dog fighters.

When he was rescued, his condition was absolutely terrifying but now he has had a complete turn around and is thriving!

Pepsi is a typical mali. High energy and prey drive.
He needs an experienced owner and someone who will keep his mind stimulated, preferably someone who is interested in or does training. He’d enjoy some kind of dog sport such as mantrailing or scentwork.

Because of his past, he does need a lot of training, especially in a home environment. He’s a very quick learner! The training must be continued and consistent too. He loves food and do anything for a treat.
He loves his humans. He absolutely loves the attention and affection. Despite his past, he’s very gentle and trusting, and he just wants to be loved in return. He loves a good cuddle, and he always likes to be close to you. You’ll never be alone with Pepsi.

The men who frequent the black market aren’t kind, and it’s clear from Pepsi’s behaviour that he’s also had bad experiences with other dogs. Since coming into our care, he’s interacted and played with a male dog fine, but because of his high energy, other dogs don’t like this so much. We believe he could live okay with another calm dog of the same size.
