Saffiyah

Saffi was tied up on a homemade leash at the dog market, so she had the ability to move but she chose not too. She really just laid there giving up. She and Chief stayed so close together as if all they had were each other. Saffi was so tiny and neglected. Her body was just bones. Her tail had been cut off, and this was likely a homemade job too. The vet checked her temperature, and she was over 40 degrees C.

Saffi should be so much bigger, but her body is the size of a six-month-old puppy. When we bought her, the owner said she was nine months old, and he swore she was never used for breeding, but the vet estimates she’s more like 5-6 years old.

After treatment for ticks and blood parasites, Saffi grew into a beatiful submissive girl. She get along well with all dogs, both male and female. She can be wary of strangers, but acts scared rather than aggressive – she just doesn’t know if she will be hurt again.

She is coming out of her shell though and learning to trust her humans.

The humans in her life now, she loves. She is starting to become her true boxer self. Bouncy, affectionate, and she’s even starting to run and feel freedom which she has never ever had in her life.

Saffi would suit a home that is active. Saffi needs to have lots of exercise and explore – her life previously was awful, she was deprived of everything. Saffi deserves to see the world, to play and meet other humans and dogs. She deserves to be her true boxer self.

Saffi could live with children. She has not been cat tested.

Saffi could live with another dog, preferably a male who is gentle and playful to help bring Saffis happiness  and confidence out.
